According to Wikipedia, body alignment is "the optimal placement of the body parts so that the skeletal bones are efficiently used, so the muscles have to do less work for the same effect." But for many of us, in our zeal to achieve, the mind motivates our movement and the muscles lead the way. This week in our yoga class we will explore the possibility that in truth, natural movement springs from the relationship between breath and bones and muscle activity plays a supportive role in that initiative.
