TELL US WHAT YOU FIND MOST REWARDING ABOUT TRADITIONAL TAEKWONDO AND THE CHOSUN CURRICULUM IN PARTICULAR?

  1. Traditional TKD offers a link to the past. By studying in a traditional school, such as Chosun, you are helping to pass on the techniques and philosophy which have been taught for centuries. Chosun, in particular, offers a very well rounded curriculum. Each class is different and varied while still keeping true to tradition.

  2. this is an easy one!
The most rewarding part of training in traditional taekwondo is the fact we are doing something that has been carried on for many years and keeping tradition alive so that a new generation can also carry on the traditional taekwondo training.
Chosun's curriculum is so well rounded, there isn't any aspect of traditional taekwondo that takes a backseat. If you come often enough, you can take advantage of everything Master Cook has to offer, which is a lot. The most rewarding part of the curriculum in my opinion, is doing poom-se .

  3. I love traditional tkd because I feel like I am part of something big. This something stretches back into history. It includes cultural and religious influences all while being a means of lethal warfare. When I train I get lost in the moment, totally absorbed by the purpose and the motions. I love knowing that for centuries others too have experienced the same focus and determination that I feel when training.

  4. The are many things that I find rewarding in my Taekwondo training but one of the most rewarding things about training in general is seeing my development as I progress in my training. The traditional aspect is just as rewarding because I am learning about the history of taekwondo, I am learning Korean terminology and I know that the self defense techniques that are taught to us by Master Cook and the unbelievable instructors at Chosun are passed down to us by Grand Master Richard Chun.
