| Dear Martial Arts Enthusiast, Welcome to the January 2021 edition and the 134th issue of the Chosun Taekwondo Academy e-newsletter! So many thoughts come to mind in summing up the year 2020... for many it was a year of devastation and tragic loss, some found new opportunities but every person on earth was effected in some way by a force of nature that we were woefully unprepared for. But here we are, still fighting an invisible foe, now with more weapons to help us, and as they say, a light at the end of the tunnel. We are indeed living through a crisis. Although the word crisis, connotes an unstable or crucial time, it also implies a turning point containing the seeds of hope and transformation. The words on our Zen calendar page for December seem to capture the essence of the moment: Surrender to what is. Let go of what was. Have faith in what will be. ONWARD AND UPWARD...NEVER GIVE UP!
